In 1999 I was working in a busy stressful sales office when I decided to make my hobby my profession. I trained at Middlesex School of Complementary Medicine in Mount Vernon Hospital. I studied, practised and trained outside of work hours until, I took the plunge and left the corporate world for a therapy room. So for 20 years I have been practising complementary therapies, both mobile and from home.
My family and I moved from South Buckinghamshire to Dorset in 2014. After some exciting house renovations I finally have my treatment room at home again.
I also work from Profile 2000 Slimming & Beauty salon in West Moors, and am fully mobile.
As a busy mum to two teenage boys, and a wife to a man who loves to renovate a house or two, there is always something going on at home.
I know our busy lives and stress can mean we do not always look after ourselves the way we should. So why not put yourself first, indulge, and treat Number One? Come and see me and hit "The pause button" on the world for 30 minutes or a full hour, you deserve it.
The effects and benefits of complementary therapies are as individual as the person receiving them. I love complementary therapies and am constantly amazed at how unique everyone's reactions are to them. Stress is such a big part of our lives these days. I believe anything we can do to relieve negative stress helps the body to rest and repair how it is designed to.
A relaxing treat should be an essential part of your self care routine. It is just important to take time to recharge your batteries. You will feel relaxed and yet focused and more capable within your daily routine.
